This top of the table clash will have a big influence toward the end of the Devon 1 merit table despite the late arrival of the captain Paddy Moyse. The Okes started quickly with early dominance and with the Exmouth side desperately defending, Luke Simmons broke through close in and added his own extras .

Almost straight away Okehampton broke away in open play and after some fine link play Paddy Moyse touched down close in again. Simmo with the extras. Then after a strong debut, Oke's colts scrum half left the field with an arm injury replaced by Darcy Heard.T he young Exmouth side were always in contention however , and this saw them dominating the latter part of the first half, scoring two tries wide out and converting one .

The second half saw Exmouth start strongly and after Ill discipline by the Okes, a five yard line out was driven over and converted. Luke Simmons then landed a penalty half way out ,so the Okes had levelled it up. As the game drew to its conclusion, the dominant Okes pack kept pressurising the home defence and Callum Pillivant broke away from 20 metres out to score in the corner with Simmons in fine form adding the extras.
