The Okes continue their run of home fixtures this weekend with the visit of Keynsham RFC.
Promoted last season, the side based between Bristol and Bath have made a decent fist of this campaign, and will be looking to consolidate their place for next term. They were defeated at home last week by Cullompton and will want to bounce back. However they face an Oke side who , boosted by the return of several regulars, saw off visiting Thornbury last time out with an improved second half display. The two clubs are linked through ex-players and officials alike, and the reverse fixture was at tight one that went down to the wire.
Oke's player coach Martin Harrison- Browne offered his thoughts ahead of this week's home match-
"After last weeks good performance against a very willing side. We are looking to use the confidence gained, plus home advantage, to put right the result we got in the away fixture. This time we have no intention on relying on a last minute kick to win. We want this to be a 70/75 minute team performance that will hopefully see bring us 5 points, whilst taking us one step closer to the top 4 spot which was my aim from the beginning of the season . Training this week has been electric and we will want to take that focus into the game on Saturday".
Kick off time is yet to be finalised as the Eng V Ireland game will be replayed in the clubhouse afterwards. Team news will also be posted on the website later this evening. So bring your Maroon and Amber support to the Showground this weekend and enjoy the rugby on show.
