A great first pre-season run-out for the Okes, with former Okehampton player Chris Searle returning to Devon with his Winchester side.
With dry conditions leaving pitches unplayable, the fixture moved to the The Manor & Ashbury Resorts 3G facilities, where both sides put on an entertaining contest.
Winchester struck first, but Okehampton soon found their rhythm, eventually pulling away to secure a 26–12 win.
Plenty of positives across the squad, with Saul Holiday, Mikey Stevens, Ollie Wonnacott and Joe Mawle all impressing, while Ryan Gross looked sharp on his return to the club.
A valuable workout ahead of the new season and another encouraging sign of the strength in depth building within the squad.
