Rugby is back!
After an elongated festive break, not aided by the Coney Hill cry off, the Okes are finally back in league action, looking to kick off 2019 with a win away at 8th placed Keynsham RFC.
The maroon and ambers will be looking to pick up where they left off after ending 2018 in second place, hot on the heels of leaders, and next week’s opposition… Launceston.
First up though is a tough looking trip to a Keynsham side that like to use their forwards to dominate, and one that the Okes lost to narrowly in this fixture last season. The Okes have already won the reverse fixture at home, but Keynsham’s strong second half comeback ensured it was never an easy victory. The Okes will hope to be near full strength this weekend and the full team news will be posted here later this evening.
Okes will hope for dry conditions as they look to play their usual expansive, fast paced game. Hopefully the boys have not taken on board too much yuletide cheer and will be fit and raring to go with a 2.15 KO planned.
Please try and make your way if possible to support the lads..
