The ORFC season extends by one week as we welcome visitors Keynsham RFC for a thrice arranged league Fixture. Doubling up as the Presidents day, let’s all hope the weather holds for a match that will definitely have an end of season feel to it.

Victory for the Okes would see the Maroon and Ambers finish the campaign in a very creditable fifth place in SW1. This would be the highest league position in the club’s history- no mean feat after a season of change and disruption aplenty. Keynsham’s season mirrors Oke’s first back in SW1 in many ways. Both sides promoted as Champions followed by a season of successful consolidation, whilst also reaching their respective County Cup Finals in their first year back at level 6. In fact the visitors arrive just three days after having, like the Okes last term, lost in a fiercely competitive County Cup Final.

The Okes meanwhile, whilst boosted by a comfortable win last Saturday, will have to cope without many regulars who will be unavailable due to the extended season, having already made alternative plans for this weekend!

Player coach Martin Harrison-Browne shared his thoughts ahead of this weekend's match-

"After last weeks game we are still looking for that top 5 spot, which will be the highest we have finished. It’s our last game of the season plus we are boosted by being at home. We have had to make a few changes to the squad through unavailability, but we still want to finish on a high note whilst preparing for next season".
