Okes welcome North Petherton to The Showground this weekend, once again looking to avenge a narrow away defeat against their latest opposition. Kick offs will now be 3 PM.
Pethy are on their best run of form this campaign, after struggling early doors and near the foot of the table, their recent run has seen them climb into the top half , just one point behind the Okes.
It was a disappointing loss last week for the Maroon and Ambers who will want to right a few wrongs this Saturday against a large Pethy pack that ultimately proved the difference in the away fixture. Team news will appear here in due course and all involved will be hoping for decent weather and underfoot conditions.
Player coach Martin Harrison-Browne kindly shared his thoughts ahead of this week's encounter-
"Poor preparation, steaming from the game being called off the previous week, my unavailability Tuesday training and lack of focus on Thursday - all contributed to a disappointing game at Teignmouth. I called a meeting Tuesday to discuss a few issues and where we want to go from here. We all agreed that 5th place is our key aim. So for Saturdays game we are determined to get the win and get one back against Pethy. Training Tuesday was fantastic and 5 points is a big must this week which will also help get our confidence back for the last 3 home games. Key points will be to control the game and play our rugby for the full 80 minutes not taking our foot off the gas at all"
The twos are also in action away at locals North Tawton in a friendly, and a decent crowd is hoped for at both fixtures.
"Come On You Okes!"
