Congratulations to the Okehampton players who played with distinction for the full Devon side in the first two County Championship matches. Tom McGrattan, Rhys Palmer and Dean Abrams did the Maroon and Amber proud with outstanding performances. Rhys was named man of the Match in the narrow defeat to Gloucestershire, and Dean was named man of the match after the superb win over old foes Cornwall.

PARKING:

Following the departure of the contractors from the club, the car parks are now fully open for club members. Please remember to display your club parking permit to avoid being fined!

STAND REFURBISHMENT:

The stand is to be refurbished during June. The roof will be stripped off and the girders sandblasted and painted, then new roof panels will be fitted courtesy of Cladco. The concrete steps will be repaired where they have cracked and the whole stand repainted. the opportunity to fit more seating in the stand is being investigated.

To keep costs down, the painting and some other work will be carried out on a self help basis, so if you are handy with a paint brush and can spare a few hours, please come along and help the club out and make this a great facility.

There will be a grand opening of the stand on the day that the first home game can be played on the front pitch.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:

The AGM of Okehampton RFC will take place on Monday 16th July 2018 in the clubhouse. Full details later, but please keep this date in your diaries.
